Reece West, North London's rising urban star unveils his new EP 'West Life', available for download on itunes and elsewhere online.
Eagerly awaited, the EP contains key contributions and collabs with Goldie1, Sho Shallow & Ard Adz on the title track, whilst Ayo Beatz weighs in on ‘Under the Night’, the main commercial release from the EP.
Also on the EP are Reece’s 1st promo single ’Guilty’ and ‘Poison’, the club-friendly anthem that followed, catapulting Reece onto the dance and urban music landscape in 2013. The latter carries a massive pop hook courtesy of featured vocalist Caitlyn Scarlett, the hot tip for breakout this year.
Launched with a video about a young couple trying to separate but unable to let go, the visuals were shot in the summer holiday resort of Malia, the destination of choice for UK youth, where partying hard is an understatement.
Skopez, completes the guest roll, producing ‘Lights Out’, another West-written track that showcases his lyrical mastery.
Always prepared to work hard and shape his craft, Reece West became resident MC for High Frequency and hosted and performed on the world renowned Lord of the Mics 3 tour.
Not resting on his laurels, Reece has continued to perfect his live presence and increase his fan base online and by playing at various showcases. Most recently he is currently the resident MC for Acquila Events with regular events at XOYO, No.5 Cavendish, District and many more.
This bedrock of activity continues his earlier work with shows at venues such as Matter (O2), Batchwood, Lock 17, Ministry, Pacha, SE1, Cable and Lock Lounge. Such exposure has enabled Reece to work with the likes of 360 Mastering (Dick and Dave Turner) and Mediadisc.
The singles released to date have bounced well on the club circuit and forthcoming singles from the EP are set to be massive, with support from online sites like SBTV, Grimedaily and Link Up TV.
Reece’s hard yards foundation looks like it’ll pay off in 2014, with the potential to make him one of the most exciting urban artists of the year.
